Healthy Cooking Class

Two weeks ago I had the great pleasure of teaching an interactive cooking demo to a group of children at my local homeschool charter, Twin Ridges Homestudy. I got to teach ages 5-9 how to prepare healthy indigenous food that’s also really simple!

Together we made a wild rice and roasted squash pilaf (which you can see on the Recipes page). Instead of me teaching a boring lecture, the kids got to help!!!  They mashed squash, made vinaigrette and got to plate it all up beautifully! Food art! I love to share healthy indigenous ways of cooking with the children!!   Even the parents loved how much healthy food their kids where eating!
